PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:
We desire to see healing come to WHOLE families as each member comes to saving faith in Christ. We know that the testimony of a family that has been RESCUED, RESTORED and REGENERATED will be beacon of hope in their community, leading many others to Christ. Whether your sponsorship is for ONE CHILD or ONE FAMILY, you are making an eternal impact and you are helping us to accomplish the mission God has set before us.
MEETING PHYSICAL NEEDS:
We provide food assistance, school lunch programs, clothing assistance, housing restoration and construction, life skills development, and sustainable income training. In addition, at our Ishunga location, the children of UKP Academy are provided two meals a day at school, meals and/or snack at Saturday Kids Club and meals and/or snack at Sunday School. Each child in our program is provided routine and urgent medical care. As well, we care for those who come to us with severe medical conditions as the Lord provides.
MEETING EDUCATIONAL NEEDS:
Education in Uganda isn't free and many are unable to afford to go. Many of parents of the children in our program never attended school at all. This cycle of poverty could not be broken without the assistance from programs like ours. For this reason, we opened Ishunga's UKP Academy in 2015 and in the Spring of 2017, our newest UKPA was opened in our Sonde location. Through this program, each child is provided a Christ-Centered education, school tuition and uniform fees, as well as provision for books and supplies.
MEETING SPIRITUAL NEEDS:
We provide weekly Bible study and discipleship programs, Saturday Kids Club, Men's, Women's, and youth ministry and community outreach programs. In 2015 we opened Calvary Chapel Ishunga- where all local families in the program attend church regularly.
